I work with women who have done everything right and are still in pain.

When effort hasn’t resolved the pain, the state beneath the symptoms is what changes everything.

Through heart-centered breath and embodied work, I help you shift the nervous system state so the pattern no longer needs to repeat.

YOU'VE DONE EVERYTHING RIGHT

You tried the therapy.
The strengthening.
The stretching.
The mindset work.

You stayed disciplined.

And yet the pain lingers.
Or shifts.
Or returns under stress.

This isn’t a failure of effort.
It’s a matter of state.

WHAT MOST APPROACHES MISS

When the nervous system lives in bracing, the body organizes around protection.

Breath shortens.
Muscles hold.
Tension stabilizes.

Protection becomes the pattern.

Structure matters.
But structure behaves differently depending on state.

If state doesn’t change, the pattern remains.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

Private one-on-one sessions integrate:

• Nervous system regulation
• Heart-centered breath
• Somatic integration
• Clinical structural understanding
• Emotional pattern awareness

We work at the level of coherence , where physiology and lived experience meet.

As bracing softens, pain patterns unwind.

BEGIN AT HOME

The Heart Coherence EP is a short breathing practice to help settle your system and reorganize. It is designed to listen to in order.

This is not something to perform.
It is something to return to.

ABOUT

ABOUT ME

For more than 30 years, I have worked with the human body.

My foundation is clinical. I am a licensed physical therapist, and certified in Pilates, with advanced study in craniosacral therapy, Manual lymph drainage, yoga, and somatic disciplines. My work integrates biomechanics, breath mechanics, and nervous system regulation.

For decades, I helped women recover from injury, surgery, and chronic pain.

Yet a pattern emerged.

Many were doing everything correctly — disciplined, compliant, strong — and their pain persisted.

That pattern led me deeper.

WHERE STRUCTURE MEETS STATE

Persistent pain is rarely structural alone.

The nervous system shapes muscle tone, breath rhythm, and fascial tension. When the system remains in protection, the body organizes around it.

Without addressing state, structural work often reaches a ceiling.

Understanding this reshaped my practice.

MY TURNING POINT

This shift was personal as well as professional.

I know discipline. I know pushing through. I know believing more effort will solve it.

What I didn’t see was how much bracing had become normal.

When I began working at the level of nervous system state — through heart-centered breath and embodied awareness — something returned.

Not through force.
Through coherence.

THE WORK TODAY

Today, I work primarily one-on-one with women whose pain has not resolved through structural approaches alone.

My practice integrates:

• Clinical biomechanics
• Autonomic regulation
• Heart coherence and breath
• Somatic integration
• Emotional pattern recognition

This work is precise. Individualized. Grounded in physiology.

And deeply human.

When protection softens, pain patterns change.
And when pain patterns change, women move and live differently.

"My relationship with Heather began in her capacity as a physical therapist several years ago.  I was struggling with severe back pain issues, and working with Heather made all the difference in postponing what was eventually major spine surgery.   Heather became my lifeline during recovery.  She understood not only the pain and physical challenge I was facing, but the connection between mind and body.  My healing journey was emotional as well as physical. Having Heather’s support has been life-changing. "
